It all started with taking a sh*t load of notes, trying to organize them, and over the years they became more and more and more.
In addition to that, my personal frustration with answering the same questions over and over again in beginner classes (RTFM), I thought it would help people to have a resource available where those simple questions could be answered quickly by themselves, so we would have more time with actual teaching material which can't be (easily) found in and learned through books.
There are about a dozen books about CI available on the market, only very few of them I personally found really useful. I'm still missing the one that focuses on the practical part, the technical, a more structured and less poetic/artistic novel like approach. Something that lists the principles.
Making the implicit norms more explicit, because as a beginner one can easily feel lost and alienated in this world where everyone seems to know the rules, but no one talks about them as there is supposed to be none.
I hope I can be of service to many people by having written this little, insignificant book, so that it may help you and filled the gap I was so much looking for when I started to do CI.
As of now (2025) I have not decided to sell it via a publisher. This may change in the future (broader reach?). Thus, as of now, it can only be printed through an on-demand printing service.
The book is not available through a publisher, but only by ordering it directly from me. If you let me know your address, I can let you know the price (shipping costs). So to get a printed copy of the book, write an e-mail to: christoph@crashcoursecontact.org
